Two More Awards for CoFFEE

CoFFEE Wins IBM Innovation Award!

CoFFEE is one of only a few international winners of the 2008 IBM innovation award. IBM announced on November 20th 2008 that it will award Prof. Vittorio Scarano and his ISIS lab team at the University of Salerno US $25,000 for their proposal to integrate CoFFEE tools into IBM's Jazz platform (a platform is for collaborations around software design).

The acceptance of the proposal means that CoFFEE will now be available not only in educational contexts but also in work contexts. It also means that the team around CoFFEE can grow, and that CoFFEE's existing users in education may expect further improvements of the technology, resulting from this additional direction.

CoFFEE Demo Awarded Best Student Presentation

On November 18th, LEAD partner Ilaria Manno, from the University of Salerno's department of computer science, scored another one for LEAD!

Ilaria presented and demonstrated CoFFEE at the 3rd Italian Workshop on Eclipse Technologies (Eclipse IT), and won a prize for best student demo in the educational track. Pictures from the event can be found on Flickr.
